Cold, wet, historic night in Philly

Wow this unbelievable record setting season just doesn't want to come to an end.

It's going to be really hard to put today's game and experience into words, but I will try.

If you were watching the game tonight trust me it didn't do any justice to how cold, wet, and windy it really was. Pena's and Longoria's bats came alive tonight. With both their runs scored and RBI it allowed this game to be suspended tied.

And yes this is the first game in World Series history to be suspended due to weather. Just another chapter for the record breaking Rays season.

Regardless of the outcome tonight we were packed and checked out of our hotel ready to fly back to Tampa, but Mother Nature threw a wrench in that plan. With the game being suspended we are unable to leave Philadelphia. The hotel we were staying at is sold out for tonight so we had to take a 45-minute bus ride to Wilmington, Del. to check in and stay for the night, possibly two.

The weather is not looking very promising for tomorrow, but we only need the weather to clear up for three innings. With momentum on our side, we can't wait to finish the game and bring the series back to Tropicana Field.

Comment: Congratulations on an amazing season Tampa Bay. You came out hitting tonight. Just unlucky in the end. You earned the respect of the baseball universe with the AL Pennant. And, being good sports, we tip our caps to Santa Rosa's Philly, Eric Bruntlett.

Comment: Not to defend Selig at all, but did he really have a choice??
